Partire in questo modo, è stato fantastico! Sono stato concentrato dal primo all’ultimo punto, non mi sono mai complicato la partita.Sono riuscito a giocare davvero bene e punto dopo punto ho vinto facilmente il match. Ho messo tanta pressione al mio avversario. E’ sempre bello quando si vince così, ho speso pochissime energie, che mi potranno servire per il prossimo match.

Ero molto giù di morale prima di giocare questa partita. L’anno è iniziato male per me, dopo le sconfitte al primo turno a Noumea ed alle quali di Auckland. Questa wild card mi ha fatto sentire meglio. Spesso sono troppo pessimista, anche quando gioco a tennis. Ho alcuni passaggi che devo gestire, fortuna, che oggi è andata bene. Prima di entrare in campo, ho parlato con i miei genitori, mio fratello, ed il mio allenatore ed è andato tutto per il verso giusto, faro’ cosi’ anche per il match di secondo turno.

ma che inutili... ridanno allegria, gioia, tranquillità, voglia di lottare e di vincere.

JO WILFRIED TSONGA: Yeah, it was good for me. I did it over time. No, it was good to win in three straight sets. Anyway, for the rest of the tournament, it's good.

Q. Was it important to win in three after a grueling match in the first round?
JO WILFRIED TSONGA: Yeah, of course. Of course.
It's all the time important to spend less times a possible, so...

Q. Were you happy with today compared to the first round?
JO WILFRIED TSONGA: Yeah, I'm really happy because I played better tennis than yesterday and I'm just happy with my level today. I was healthy. I felt good on the court. So I'm okay.
